A: Most big cities have a DEFCON group, and we are Toronto’s group. DEFCON Toronto (code named DC416) is a community of security enthusiasts. We meet on monthly basis to talk about security, hack to learn, learn to hack, and socialize.

A: We meet every month. Sometimes we spontaneously meet for smaller, non-formal hacking sessions.

A: We have no specific focus. Our meetups usually discuss Web Applications, Reverse Engineering, Mobile Hacking, Automobile Hacking, IOT, and more.

A: Yes. Our attendee’s come from every walk of life and profession. it doesn’t matter whether you’re a junior or a senior security professional, you will always learn something new in our meetups.

A: We usually host our meetups at Pivotal Labs office. Pivotal Labs are kind enough to host us on a monthly basis.
Q: I have never attended a meetup before. Where can I find presentations from past meetups?
A: We have an archive page especially for that. There, you can find presentations, Capture The Flag images, useful links and tools.
Q: How can I be a part of DC416?
A: First and foremost, join our meetup group. This way you will be able to RSVP to our events as soon as we publish them.
Secondly, We have a Slack channel where we discuss security on daily basis. We highly recommend you to join the community, engage in interesting conversations and contribute to the success of our group.
